Across all 11 of our Memoria memorial parks between 1st-19th December you will be able to join us either in person or virtually for an evening of reflection to mark this special time of year. There will be moments where we can remember those we have lost and you will be able to see the names of your loved ones and their pictures in our video tribute which will be shown as part of the service. Along with the specially chosen readings, poems and carols the Light a Candle for a Loved One memorial service will be a touching moment in the lead up to Christmas.
These events mark the launch of our partnership with Alzheimer’s Research UK, the UK’s leading dementia research charity. Almost one million people in the UK are living with dementia, and over half of people in the UK know someone affected by the condition. Despite this, there are no available treatments in the UK that can slow, stop or prevent the diseases, such as Alzheimer’s, that cause dementia.
Memoria has donated over £100,000 to help fund ground-breaking dementia research and we hope that with our support, Alzheimer’s Research UK can get one step closer to curing this life limiting condition. At each of the services we will welcome a representative from Alzheimer’s Research UK and you will hear from some of their most celebrated supporters.
